Coca-cola products are not safe for Sikhs. They contain Alcohol, and in some areas may also contain cochineal in which case it is labeled on the package.
The recipe for Coke that is generally known contains the secret ingredient, Merchandise 7X.
The ingredients for Merchandise 7X are known to be as follows:
- Alcohol 8oz
- Orange oil 20 drops
- Lemon oil 30 drops
- Nutmeg oil 10 drops
- Coriander 5 drops
- Neroli 10 drops
- Cinnamon 10 drops
Due to the alcohol content, Coca-cola should not be consumed by Sikhs.
