This fast food chain is very inconsistent and misleading in supplying information about their products. Known is the following:

  1. Since April 1996 fries in Canada are pre-fried and cooked in a blend of beef tallow and cottonseed oil both by supplier and restaurant
  2. In the U.S.A. all pre-frying and cooking is done in vegetable oil, but... in 1997 McDonalds announced that the natural flavor in their fries is actually a beef product
  3. All cheeses may contain animal rennet
  4. All sauces contain egg yolks
  5. Most dressings contain egg yolks and/or anchovies (a fish)
  6. The biscuit dressing, used to prepare the biscuits, contains animal-derived natural flavors
  7. The hash browns contain animal-derived natural flavors
  8. The Hot Cakes contain eggs
